Youth Mission 2010

We are going to the Philippines on a youth mission trip!!!

We will be going to Mary and Ramil - see photo below. Mary and Ramil are missionaries in Cagayan de Oro - Philippines. They work mainly with street children. We will join them for two weeks and help them wherever we can.

We will feed the poor, help the needy, love the unloved... - in other words: we will go and try to live our Christian faith out in a very different setting.

This trip is not a holiday. It will be hard at times. There might be times where we will shed a tear and wonder why we ever went, but I - Michiel - trust that God will work in each one of us. I believe that this trip will be an awesome oppertunity to grow closer with God.

We will be going during the first three weeks of July. This will be outside the main school holiday as travelling is cheaper. We will be going for about 2 weeks. The total price will be £900. This includes food, accomodation and travel arrangements. This does however not include travel insurance and jabs you might need.
